Hello! I’m glad you stopped by to learn a little about my life.
I grew up in a village in Southwestern Ontario, where my favourite moments were spent biking through the woods to the public library (housed in a school portable), floating down the river in a Styrofoam boat, making homemade gifts that no one actually wanted, and curating a natural history museum in our unused barn.
I earned a BA in English and History from Huron University College, followed by an MLIS specializing in archives from Western University. My two work terms – at the University of Guelph Archives and Library and Archives Canada – expanded my understanding of historical documents and archival research.
After getting married I lived in Calgary for six years. Now I’m back in Ontario with my husband and our four young children, who keep us on our toes with their shenanigans. I squeeze reading and writing into my life whenever I can.
I’m thankful for my upbringing, my family, the churches I’ve been part of, and grace and beauty in a broken world. Soli Deo Gloria.
