Firsts of 2024 in Pictures

I had a hard time deciding what to include in this list and went with “the more the merrier,” for the most part. I’m second guessing myself a bit (have I ever been in a kayak before?), but I hope you enjoy this visual summary of my experiences over the past year.

9. Looked through a Telescope at the Cincinnati Observatory

10. Hiked at Indian Creek Nature Center (and took the girls on a guided bird watching walk there)

11. Saw a Total Solar eclipse

12. Attended a Men Serve the Ladies Dinner at Church

13. Made a Plaster Cast of My Hand

14. Took the Kids to Law Enforcement Day and Fire Safety Day

15. Did a Famous Artist-inspired Painting Project

16. Attended the Canton Dairy Festival

17. Made Turkish Pide and Scallion Pancakes

18. Celebrated the Fourth of July

19. Went to the Seaway Festival

20. Saw a Ship Go Through a Lock

21. Participated in a Challenge Course

22. Went Kayaking (and watched kayakers go over a waterfall!)

23. Grew a Cucumber

24. Visited the Red Barn Preserve

25. Hiked the Tupper Lake Triad

26. Played a Hammered Dulcimer

267. Went to Work with Andrew for a Day

28. Hiked to the Great Eight Waterfalls

29. Cooked a Wild Turkey

30. Made Detroit Pizza

Honourable mentions (without pictures): attended a White Elephant Party, joined a book club at the public library, made yogurt in the Instant Pot, participated in the Vital Ideas classical education online conference, subscribed to Spotify Premium, hosted an event at a public library (Schole Sisters Retreat) ordered from Azure Standard, and was fingerprinted!
