What a year! In keeping with tradition here are some firsts I experienced in 2020.
- Baked bread (and pizza) with a sourdough starter
2. Took the kids skating
3. Played snow snake (at Moreston Heritage Village)
4. Lived through a lockdown (!)
5. Made roast chicken in a crust
6. Took a child to the ER (everything turned out okay!)
7. Set up an inflatable pool in the backyard
8. Made kombucha
9. Made aloo parathas
10. Hired someone to paint our house
11. Took the kids to play mini golf
12. Completed a scavenger hunt of local landmarks
13. Quarantined in our house for two weeks (at least we had lots of activities to keep us busy)
14. Hand sewed a (very simple) baby gift
15. Helped host a virtual baby shower (this is a baby picture of me used in one of the games)
16. Made a cheesecake layer cake
I’ve never made a layered cheesecake; looks yummy. I have done chocolate-covered cheesecake bites, once.
Yum!
We were involved with and attended two weddings, our youngest and our oldest, one in MN and one in TX. Both were very happy occasions. And then helped out with a new little one, our fifth grandchild.!
