I hope you all had a good November. Since I don’t know where to fit this in I will say up front that my sister and a friend each had a baby this month and they are too adorable for words! Now on to other November favourites.
Read
The best books I read this month were all non-fiction: Killers of the Flower Moon, How to Talk So Kids Will Listen & Listen So Kids Will Talk, Boys Adrift, and What Did You Expect?
Do
I have two favourite activities of the past month. First was a virtual baby shower that friends held for me, complete with wise advice, seasonal games, twinkle lights, hot chocolate, sugar cookies, and Lindors! Thankful for freezer meals and friendship. 🙂
Last Saturday we drove down to my parents’ to celebrate their 60th birthdays with sausages and hot apple cider around a bonfire. I was a little concerned about the weather at the end of November but it was a cloudless day and the sunshine made it quite lovely. We walked in the woods and enjoyed two desserts that I made with the kids: a lemon-lime jello mold and chocolate peanut butter cupcakes baked in jars. I think the day turned out quite special — and I hope my mom and dad think so too!
Meditate
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.” – Galatians 5:22-26
