Did you know that Canada is the only country in the world to celebrate Victoria Day? I was surprised to learn that it’s been a holiday in Canada since 1845. Originally held on Queen Victoria’s birthday (May 24), it’s now celebrated on the Monday before May 25, creating the unofficial first long weekend of summer.
If you’re looking for some entertainment befitting the day, check out one of these four movies focusing on parts of Queen Victoria’s life. (Or take a look at my post about Queen Victoria’s children… it’s fun to see all their names and portraits.)
