A while back I posted a poem that I wrote years ago. Here’s another one that I wrote around the same time, where I had fun playing with words. Now I’m toying with the idea of adding “write more poetry” to my New Year’s resolutions…
I Think of You
I think of you
Every time I eat a clementine
First I peel it in one piece
Or I puncture it with cloves
To smell like Christmas.
I think of you
Every time I hear cathedral chimes
Peal out a message of peace
I wish that you were close
Like you were at Christmas.
Your poem is beautiful and a little sad. I love it.
Thank you! That means a lot to me.
